Rustic, powerful….a work that evokes the spirit of it’s namesake.
Commissioned for the home of friends living on a rural horse farm this rich and complex work was woven on a traditional four harness loom. The “double weave” cloth is embellished with a multitude of shaggy wool and twine knots juxtaposing a riot of texture against weight and detail. All is attached to a framework of branches.
